Francisco Rocha Antunes

With a degree in Business Management, Mr. Francisco Rocha Antunes has worked in the real estate market since 1989. He has developed parking lots, shopping and leisure centers, housing, industrial parks, offices, student residences and mixed-use projects.

In 2002 he founded +urbano, an independent real estate development company operating from Porto for the market in the north of Portugal.

One of the pioneers in the urban rehabilitation of downtown Porto, he was awarded three National Urban Rehabilitation Awards, two in 2013 for Passeio dos Clérigos in Porto and Fábrica ASA in Guimarães, and one in 2023 for Mercado do Bolhão. He developed the Quarteirão de D. João I, one of the only block-scale projects in Porto, and was coordinator of the Bolhão Market Office, the municipal entity responsible for the restoration and modernization project of this emblematic building. He is currently developing a student residence in Guimarães and the former Central do Freixo in Porto, and is a consultant for the development of Porto’s former industrial slaughterhouse.

Since 2010 he has been an Eminent Professional and therefore a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in the area of Planning and Development and a member of the Urban Land Institute since 1994, being the current Chair for Portugal.

He is a guest lecturer at the Porto Business School of the University of Porto on the Postgraduate course in Real Estate Management, teaching the subject of Market Analysis in Real Estate for the seventh consecutive year. projects.

In 2023, he founded MOME, a professional manager of housing cooperatives, where he is CEO.
