José Miguel Lameiras
José Miguel Lameiras is a Landscape Architect (PhD) and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto. He is also a Researcher at BIOPOLIS, Center for Research in Biodiversity and Genetic Resources. His research and professional focus lies in urban regeneration through green structures, with a particular emphasis on applying digital technologies to enhance the design of public spaces.

As the BIOPOLIS lead for the H2020 URBiNAT project, funded by the European Commission, Jose coordinates efforts to advance urban regeneration strategies. He is also the coordinator of the urban regeneration project, Alameda de Cartes Park in Porto.
Jose has played a key role in landscape design projects aimed at developing urban green parks that effectively manage stormwater and enhance the climate resilience of Porto. Notable examples include the Asprela Campus Parks.
In addition to his work in Porto, Jose has also taught and conducted research at the University of Copenhagen, further expanding his expertise in landscape architecture and urban regeneration.
